A Psychologist cannot prescribe medications, however we can diagnose, provide intervention and report back to the school or workforce to enable classroom and learning plan adjustments. Book in today to start the ball rolling for assessments and cut the queue for classroom or workplace adjustments, and strategies to improve focus and learning.

Mind Stretch is pleased to offer telehealth ADHD assessments for children, teens and adults Australia-wide.

Cogmed Working Memory Training

ADHD.

For our child and teen assessments, we begin the process by seeking completion of parent, child/teen (if appropriate) and teacher self-report questionnaires, and request you email us a copy of the two most recent school reports. Once all questionnaires have been scored, a 60-minute Telehealth session is scheduled to obtain further information on history, share results and discuss potential diagnosis. Where diagnosis is deemed appropriate, classroom adjustment ideas are shared and brainstormed in session as these will be written in the final report that gets sent to the referrer, parent and teacher. From here, Programs are likely to be recommended in order to enhance the capacity of working memory and executive functioning.

Adult ADHD assessments also rely on a pre-session questionnaire battery completed by the client and one other party (usually a parent or spouse) who can provide concrete examples of their observations. Childhood examples of behaviour as well as current behaviours are rated and further discussed in the assessment session itself. We allow a 60-minute Telehealth session to elaborate on history and possible diagnostic criteria, as well as discussed a potential ADHD Coaching and/or treatment plan going forward.

Our stand-alone ADHD Assessment fee is $800+GST, and unfortunately is not subsidised by Medicare or DVA. Check with your health insurance provider to determine if your cover includes this service.

We provide child, teen and adult ADHD Assessments all across Australia and are currently accepting new clients.

Cogmed Working Memory

Specific Learning Disorders

Dyslexia. Dyscalculia. Dysgraphia.

Our Assessment process is to meet with you (and your child if appropriate) to discuss your concerns and obtain a developmental and behavioural history. If your child is primary school aged, we also ask your classroom teacher complete a classroom and academic questionnaire. We then meet via our Telehealth portal with your child for at least 4 hours (often split into two sessions), to complete the subtests to determine diagnosis.

Once all questionnaires and tests have been scored, a feedback session is scheduled, again via Telehealth, where results are shared and strategies for any classroom adjustments or modifications are discussed. From here, Programs are likely to be recommended in order to enhance the capacity of working memory, language, numeracy and comprehension.

Our stand-alone Learning Disorders Assessment fee is $2750+GST, and unfortunately is not subsidised by Medicare or DVA. Check with your health insurance provider to determine if your cover includes this service.
